Tag, You're It!
OK, here's the new game for all us bloggers. First, someone tags you, then you follow these rules:
Link to the person who tagged you.
Post the rules on your blog.
List 6 unspectacular quirks you have.
Tag 6 bloggers by linking to them.
Leave a comment on each taggee's blog to let them know they were tagged.

I was tagged by Alice & Dayna

List 6 unspectacular quirks:
1. I'm told I eat my french fries one at a time, which was a pain for my friends when they were in a hurry. I personally never noticed.

2. I'm a closet member of the grammar police. For example, when I hear someone say "Come here quick!", I mentally add "ly" to the adverb. Blame School House Rock. "Lolly, lolly, lolly, Get your adverbs here..."
Does this mean I use perfect grammar? Of course
NOT!
Which is one reason I'm in the closet.

3. I like to brush my teeth after eating so keep a toothbrush & paste in my purse. Sugar free gum also works to give me that just brushed feeling. And you thought chewing was just a bad habit.

4. I sometimes become "obvious woman" on the phone. Ask me "Who is this?" and if I know, I will tell you who you are. Call & ask me if someone is home and I will tell you "yes" or "no". What? You want to speak with them? Just ask. But ask me if you can ask me a question & I will tell you that you just did, but that you may ask another.
Now you want to give me a call, don't 'cha?

5. Certain words or phrases bring songs or riddles to my mind ALL THE TIME. Drives me nuts. A couple of examples: Use the word "unique" in a sentence & my mind thinks: "How do you catch a unique rabbit? You (s)neek up on it." Ask "does anyone know what time it is" & my mind sings "Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care? You know I can't imagine why. (ohhh, noooo) We've all got time enough to cry. As I was walking down the street one day..."
Well, you get the idea.
Loony Tunes!

6. When I play a game for entertainment & don't like the rules, I change them. For example, sometimes playing Scrabble with my kids is turned into a dictionary word-finding fest. Non compliant with the Scrabble rules but it works for us.
Also, I change email forwarding game questions. They always have something like: List four people who will respond. I disdain this boring question so change it into something interesting such as "list four things that might be found under your bed."
I always remove the "forward this to 6 people in 10 minutes or your head will explode" or whatever the silly things say.
To prove my contrary-ness, I am ignoring the rule above which instructs those tagged to tag 6 others. Tag if you wish, but me & my ornery self are going to go fold laundry. :-)
