I also considered wishing everyone a "Happy Politician Day" for "A fool and his money are soon parted." (Thomas Tusser, 1524-1580).
After consideration, I decided that not ALL politicians deserve our ire as many (especially at local & state levels) attempt to be fiscally responsible. There's also the fact that it is OUR $$$ rather than their own being spent. The giants in their field can pork barrel their way into more of OUR $$$ plus lobbyist "gifts". They are not fools in the true sense of the word, only GREEDY which in my opinion is actually worse.
I wonder how many are also atheists, expecting no judgment day.
Foolish indeed.
